OK/AR Chapter Board of Directors Nominations Open

We are now accepting nominations from members for persons desiring to serve on the OK/AR Chapter Board of Directors for the 2021-2022 term. Eligible candidates must be an employee of a member company and willing to commit to attending and participating in monthly board meetings.

The Board consists of 15 members and is divided into three categories: Contractors, Allied Members and Cement Companies.

Any member wishing to run for a board position is encouraged to contact our office at (405) 767- 5100. We will also accept nominations by fax (405) 767-5115 or email sowen@pavement.com.

Please submit your nominations by close of business March 4th. Once we receive the nominations, the voting poll will be sent out.

Summer Intern Scholarships

College students studying in the fields of Civil Engineering or Construction Management and who intend to work for an OK/AR Chapter member are qualified to apply for a OK/AR ACPA Summer Intern Scholarship. For more information on this program, please click here.

Upcoming Webinars

Following the successful launch of the 2021 webinar series, the ACPA and CP Tech Center webinars continue with “Technology Tuesdays.” The webinars begin at noon (Central) / 1 p.m. (Eastern) and run for approximately 60 minutes. The next three webinars in  the 2021 series are:

  • February 9—Understanding the Application/Benefit of Fiber Reinforcement in Concrete. Presenter: Dr. Jeff Roesler, University of Illinois.
  • March 9—Advancements in Our Knowledge and Action to Control ASR in Concrete Pavements. Presenter: Dr. Larry Sutter, Michigan Tech University.
  • April 13—Understanding the Value of Competition. Presenters:  Dr. Jeremy Gregory, MIT Concrete Sustainability Hub, and Leif Wathne, P.E., ACPA.

Interstate Highway Construction Acquired by Clyde Companies

Clyde Companies has purchased Interstate Highway Construction (IHC) in a stock acquisition finalized on December 31, 2020. IHC will merge with Scott Contracting, a Denver based construction company acquired by Clyde Companies in 2018. Integration of IHC and Scott Contracting should be completed over the next several months, doing business as IHC Scott.
